The service, which has been in operation since 1 March, is run by <strong>CCS Airport Services<\/strong>, the subsidiary of Clece in England, for an initial period of three years, which can be extended for a further two years.<\/p>\n<p>With this award, Clece Airport Services, which has been operating in the UK for two years, is extending its services in the English-speaking market as a result of the work carried out for Thomas Cook since 2010 with the cleaning of its aircraft in Tenerife and Las Palmas, and with handling services in Lanzarote, which was a highly significant factor in this new contract being awarded.<\/p>\n<p>Mario Abajo, the head of CCS in the UK, stressed the importance of this new contract, by which \u201c<em>Clece becomes the leading foreign company providing its services to a private firm in English airports<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Cook is one of the leading airlines on the international market, with a workforce of 27,000, more than 2,500 of which are in the UK. The airline currently has a fleet of 31 aircraft operating in 17 countries, carrying 6.7 million passengers to destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Madrid, 11 March 2016.
