Social
For a fairer, more inclusive society
At Clece we view social commitment as a fundamental part of the sustainable progress that our daily activity needs to be making. That’s why we work hard to have a positive impact on all the communities we interact with, both directly and indirectly.
In this regard, not only do we comply exhaustively with all our obligations as a company in matters of workers’ rights and health and safety at work, we also go much further by implementing measures that help promote a fairer, more inclusive and egalitarian society. We firmly believe that equality of opportunities is key to ensure nobody is left behind.
More than 12%
OF THE WORKFORCE COMES FROM DISADVANTAGED SOCIAL GROUPS
From our beginnings we have been characterised by a strong social vocation. But what’s more, in 2012 we made the decision to further our commitment and took society’s pulse to find out what was expected of a company such as Clece. And it was society itself, with the responses we received, that showed us to the path we needed to take to cement our Social Project. That exercise of active listening corroborated our commitment to give back to society what society itself trusts us to do as a public servant.
In our role as providers or essential public services, we feel the obligation to meet people’s demands and heed their requests, which include ensuring the dignity of the workers who provide public administration services and equal opportunities for those seeking work.
One of the cornerstones of our social project is the occupational inclusion of people from disadvantaged social groups: women who have suffered gender-based violence, people with disabilities and people at risk of social exclusion. However, this commitment also translates into other measures being implemented, which include:
- Approval of the Clece Equality Plan.
- Our catalogue of measures to improve work-life balance and certification from the Másfamilia Foundation as a family-responsible company.
- Defining protocols against abuse at work, sexual abuse or gender-related abuse.
- Drawing up risk maps relating to breaches of human rights in all our activities.
- Establishing risk prevention measures to guarantee health and safety in the workplace.
- Ongoing education and training of our workforce through professional development programmes.
- Our adhesion to the Global Compact Network Spain, by which we recognise our commitment to the initiative’s Ten Principles, promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in the world.
Main courses of action
Clece bases its social sustainability measures on two main courses of action: Integration and raising awareness. The various lines of activity that we carry out in this area are built on these two courses of action, with the aim of securing direct and indirect benefits for different social groups.
Integration
- Collaboration agreements with social organisations to agree on profiles of people from disadvantaged social groups.
- Agreements with public administrations to help people from these groups find their way into the workplace.

Raising awareness
- Organising forums and discussions to raise awareness of the challenges we face as a challenge.
- Involvement of Clece’s workforce in campaigns relating to different social causes.
